Transforming the outside space of a new-build into a beautifully landscaped garden.

Simons Landscaping has recently completed this garden landscaping project in Mulbarton, near Norwich. The garden was a new build, with just a soil base, requiring quite a lot of preparatory work prior to establishing the finished look.

The hard landscaping aspect of the project included the laying of a patio with a connecting path and circle. Both of these features sit on a well compacted sub base and were laid on a wet mortar bed with hand pointed joints. The chosen paving material was Indian Sand Stone in a Fossil Mint colour.

At the front of the patio we left square cut outs which were filled with top soil and planted with feature trees. The soil surfaces were then covered with a layer of forest mulch.

In the corner of the garden we constructed a wooden pergola using treated soft wood.

Along the side of the house we left a strip which was filled with washed Golden Stone.

The garden was then enhanced with a beautiful lawned area, using top quality rolled lawn turf and a carefully considered selection of complementary shrub planting.
