The Royal Norfolk Show Take 2
The Royal Norfolk Show
After a successful first year at the Norfolk Show, Simons Landscaping decided to make a bigger appearance at the 2017 show. The Royal Norfolk Show (more simply the Norfolk Show) is an annual agricultural show, and is held by the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association. It is the largest 2 day agricultural show in England, and has been held almost every year since 1847. Shows were not held in 1866, 1911, 1934 and 1957 – Royal Norfolk Show website.
The stand
For the 2017 Norfolk Show Simons Landscaping wanted to make it bigger and better than 2016. We started off with a bigger and more accessible pitch. The centre piece of the stand took 2 days to complete with a team of two. This comprised of: Tarmac, Tar and Shingle, Tarmac and Golden stone and Tarmac and Red stone. This was surrounded by reclaimed oak sleeps and divided by Chelsea Set edgings. The whole piece was then surrounded by Indian Sandstone paving slabs in four options: Modak, Raveena, Raj Green and Fossil Mint. To finish the design we laid turfing around the Indian Sand Stone slabs.
Our stand for the Norfolk Show was designed to allow members of the public to get up close and personal with our landscaping services. This enabled people to come up onto the surface and get a real feel for the different surfaces and how they might look within their driveway or garden.
Overall Simons Landscaping had two great days at the Norfolk Show and we loved the opportunity to answer any questions had by the members of the public. The Norfolk Show is a great place to show off our skilled work and allows the members of the public to get up close to our landscaping options.
With the great success of our second stand at the Norfolk Show, we will definitely be coming back next year. It is now time to start putting plans in place to make 2018 the best yet.
See you again next year!
