Pond reconstruction

We were called in to do a pond reconstruction for a new customer at Elm farm wedding Venue Horsham St Faith. The current pond was in need of some structural support and a more attractive appearance.

To start the job we cleared the site of all of the old fencing. We then cleared all of the old trees and removed from site. This then opened up the site area for us to work with.

All of the banks around the pond had been washed in and this created unstable edging. We
instaleld traditional rail way sleepers held in with round posts. This gave the pond eding
structure, security and it adds a bit of character to the design.

Next we imported a large volume of top soil around the edges of the pond. This gave us a raised
level ground to work with. Once the pond structure and design had been completed, we then worked on the landscaping around the pond. We started by installing picket fencing around the perimeter of the pond. This adds security to keep out children and pets.

Pond completion

We installed a decked jetty with rope balustrade for the pond. This will enable couples to take
beautiful wedding photos over looking the pond area. To finish of the surroundings of the pond, we then laid good quality lawn turf. This gave a neat finish to the perimeter area of the pond, ready for it’s next job as a wedding venue.
