Why Chose Resin Bound?
So why chose resin bound driveways? Resin bound driveways are a choice of aggregate, spread over a surface area with resin applied over the top to bond the aggregates together. There are several benefits to having a resin bound surface installed.
The first benefit of a resin bound surface is that the surface and foundations that we use are fully permeable. This means that all surface water on top of the surface is able to drain through the resin bonded area and will drain through the foundation layers that we put down. Another benefit to resin bounded surfaces is that you do not require any planning permission. This is because in 2008 a legislation was passed that states you do not need planning permission for a bound driveway if the surface to be covered is less than five square metres or if the new surface is permeable. The final benefit to resin bound surfaces is that there is a whole range of different colour aggregates available to chosen from. This gives you complete control on how you want your surface area to look.
Examples of Resin Bound Surfaces
We have recently completed a few resin bonded driveways across the Norfolk area. The first resin driveway we completed was in Sheringham. The customer opted for the Dobbsweir aggregate which offered a light golden finish.
The second resin driveway that we have finished was in Thetford. Our customer decided to go for the sunset aggregates for their driveway and this gave a golden brown finish once laid.
The final resin driveway that we have recently completed was in Norwich. The customer had decided to go for the Cortado aggregate for their finish.
